This
3rd Generation Separator is only 470mm in overall height and will fit just
about anywhere within the surgery environment.
Note:
the vacuum motor connection
at
the top, the main suction inlet middle
right,
and the p-trap waste connection
on
the lower left.
This
new XeroStar Separator is suitable
for
installation in a surgery cupboard.
It
can be used to service one or 2 operatories
The

The
amalgam trap holds 5 Litres of water and is capable of holding the
same
volume of amalgam sediment.
The
amalgam trap is supplied as an two exchangeable items.
When
the amalgam trap is full, sealing caps are fitted so the whole unit can
be safely transported for recycling of the contents. The housing is made
from a very robust grade of PVC and with withstand rough handling without
breakage. The screw-on caps are fitted with leak-proof rubber O rings.
We
recommend that the separator be inspected and cleaned before reassembly
of the components.
The
separator unit is then screwed onto the spare amalgam trap.
The
p-trap unit is screwed on and the complete unit is then ready for
further
service.
The
discharge water from this unit will still contain a small amount of
Mercury.
This water can be treated by our Mercury Filtration Unit.
The
Mercury Filtration Unit is still being tested and should be available
in
late 2002.
